Job Description
Management position responsible for providing leadership to the Human Resources function in a manufacturing facility. Also will participate as a key member of the management team to design plant systems, processes and operating environment. Must proactively deal with HR and operational issues by providing guidance to facility based on expertise in the Human Resources function.
 
Job Responsibilities:
-Employee relations
-Staffing and employment management for all payrolls.
-Policy and procedure development, enhancement and enforcement.
-Benefits management and administration
-Payroll administration and wage adjustments
-Employment law compliance
-Department budget attainment
-Sarbanes Oxley compliance
 
Skills Required:
-Strong conflict resolution skills with the ability to stay neutral in adverse situations.
-Ability to advise, move and challenge subordinate staff toward goals.
-Ability to coach, mentor and lead plant management staff to meet business goals.
-Ability to consult and coach key managers on Human Resources issues.
-Ability to be a productive team member in both formal and informal settings.
-Ability to lead cultural change.
-Excellent oral and written communication skills.
-Bias for change.
-Proficiency in MS Office Software.
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related field.
5-8 years of progressive HR management experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of current Human Resources principles and practices.
Thorough knowledge of employment law.
Experience in a multi-cultural environment with a high degree of cultural awareness
 
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HR experience in a manufacturing union and non-union environment.
PHR or SPHR certified preferred
