Job Description
Develops improved packaging for new and existing product lines, and line extensions. Project work encompasses both short and long-range developments. Designs packaging lines and designs critical control parameters. Establishes work plans and timing for multiple projects. Direct applications of existing and emerging technology to improve operational performance of existing packaging or in the development of packages for new products. Interprets test data and translates it into a range of problem solutions. Communicates with and leads suppliers toward innovative answers to project needs. Initiates technically innovative solutions to packaging problems.
 
Bachelors Degree in packaging or mechanical engineering (or equivalent in years of relevant experience), with at least an additional 3 years experience in packaging materials and machinery.
 
Minimum of 3 years, (ideally 5 years), detailed experience with a wide range of packaging equipment and materials, including those specifically utilized by Fresh Express in it?s manufacturing facilities.
 
Extensive, detailed experience, in vertical and horizontal form, fill, seal machinery, multihead and linear scales, and substantial experience of complex packaging material structures and manufacturing processes. Effective communicator with various levels and departments. Ability to effectively lead process improvement teams.
 
Position can be located at anyone of our locations throughout North America.
