Job Description
Responsible for maintaining a regular schedule of visits to key Chiquita customers, Distribution Centers (DCs) & US Ports where he/she will conduct quality inspections to fruit & materials. As well, he/she will be responsible for process inspections at DCs and US port facilities. The purpose of these inspections is to provide immediate feedback to the tropics and operations along the Supply Chain regarding fruit quality and condition, as well as process improvement needed. All of this will allow for immediate corrective action where necessary and it will help avoid customer issues by making decisions about the product & processes. Responsible for accuracy of infomation collected and communicated (through statistical method and/or reports), and for periodically calibrating with other GQA auditors to ensure accuracy of inspections and use of Chiquita Specifications. Retail information to benchmark CB versus competition will be carried out on a frequent basis to specific customers for business decision making.
