Job Description
The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading the staffing, employee development, systems platform enhancement, process improvement, capital planning, capacity planning, budgeting and financial analysis activities necessary to safely, accurately, and cost effectively achieve service and quality objectives. The scope of responsibility includes Receiving, Material Supply, Inventory, and Distribution, and the Logistics Manager is responsible for influencing and aligning cross-functional groups around delivering superior service to the company?s customers. The scale of operations encompasses 150,000 cases per day peak shipping volume in a case-pick, lot specific, refrigerated, voice-picking environment, and greater than 50,000 raw and dry material component lines received per year. The environment is fast paced, and finished goods inventory turns exceed 200 per year.
 
Experience:
10 years of supply chain experience with an emphasis in Distribution 5 years experience leading supervisory and manager level staff. Experience implementing technology solutions like WMS, TMS, RF bar-coding, and VOICE Broad experience with warehouse design, layout, slotting, pallet storage, and material handling solutions. Experience developing and managing budgets and capital projects Experience leading structured process improvement projects
 
Education:
University undergraduate degree required APICS certification desirable Formal process improvement education (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) desirable Strong systems skills including ERP, WMS, and Microsoft Office suite
