Job Description
This position will be responsible for managing the inspection process, a team of auditors around the country, and the data generated to ensure incoming fruit meets our Chiquita and Fresh Express standards. He/she will conduct quality inspections, manage the overall inspection process, and the calibration of the inspectors across the country. He/she will be required to travel to other locations around the country to manage their team, assess fruit and vegetable conditions, and interact with growers.
 
It is necessary for this person to have a very good understanding of SOP's, corrective actions, and how to identify the root cause of issues. He/she will generate reports that give critical information to the Production Divisions (source), Sales, and Operations teams. This person will need to coordinate with the sales and operations team to effectively allocate the right fruit to the right customers as well as quickly communicate to the team when quality issues are identified.
 
He/she will coordinate with the food safety team on initiatives as well as with the innovations team on new product initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor or higher degree. Minimum 3 years experience preferred. This person should have a good technical understanding of the impact of different conditions on fruit and vegetables, have a good working knowledge of data analysis and basic statistics, understand laboratory analysis and analytical methods, as well as an understanding of: Food security, Quality systems, Crisis management and product traceability and Auditing principles
