Job Description
Within the Supply Chain group, the Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for unloading and loading of fruit at our warehouses and overseeing the day to day operation inside the warehouse. This includes discharge and receiving of product. The Warehouse Coordinator will also complete quality control inspections and reports in the facility affecting all products handled by Chiquita Fresh North America (CFNA) in order to comply with quality Chiquita standards.
 
Daily Duties:
- Perform physical and cycle counts on products to match with the inventory system.
- Report damaged product in warehouse
- Communicates with the Warehouse Manager to ensure that the proper product is loaded.
- Oversees space allocation needs in the warehouse.
- Measure the color, freshness, size and count, general appearance and any other pertinent comments regarding quality of product.
- Prepares quality and condition reports for the sales group, operations and accounting departments.
- Control the complete ripening process for Avocados. Arrival quality, Gassing, Ripening stages, cooling, and delivery to final customers.
- Ensures that all produce meets specified quality standards. Coordinates with Quality / Production Divisions, regarding quality of fruit.
- Coordinates Right Fruit to Right Customer fruit allocation with Sales and Sourcing to assure consistent quality per customer profile.
 
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience.

Education:
HS diploma required
College degree preferred.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have strong organization and planning skills and be able to work with little supervision.
