Job Description
The Logistics Manager for Alternative Channels is primarily tasked with working across product lines and functions to ensure the necessary collaboration required to win in non-grocery retail. This role directly supports development of the marketing plan, pricing, and sales strategy from a logistics perspective. This role is also responsible for leading the operational execution of the distribution plan, including the identification and management of 3rd party distribution partners, where required.
 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
-Develop distribution strategy to non-grocery channels by leveraging current network capabilities, and capabilities of those who currently serve this market
-Partner with Innovation, Business Management, and Sales to jointly develop network, product, and packaging solutions to meet the needs of customers in these channels
-Be the lead integrator working with various 3rd party providers of distribution
-Be the single point of contact for the Chiquita/Fresh Express network and across Product Supply regarding non-grocery channel supply chains
-Support execution of new product launches, promotions, and other go-to-market activities
 
Requirements:
 
-Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Economics, or other Quantitative fields (Master Degree in supply-chain related field preferred)
-Experienced in supply chain strategy and operations, with at least 3-5 years direct experience in last-mile delivery distribution (DSD)
-Strong multi-functional collaboration experience
-Ability to travel up to 50%
-Successful record of customer engagement (preferred)
-Experience managing 3rd party supply chain relationships (preferred)
