Job Description
Duties:
This position is located within the Chiquita Headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. The position is part of the company's Global Engineering and Architecture team. The Incumbent acts as an Engineer on Engineering and Architecture team for infrastructure and telecom technologies and may act as project leader on smaller projects and engineer or project resource on larger projects. Focus for this position will be highly available server technologies.
 
Daily Duties Include:
-Provide input for planning phase regarding technologies such as Citrix, MS Server Clustering, MS Server 2003/2008, VMWare and mid-tier storage arrays.
-Analyze, design, and build infrastructure technology stacks in support of project(s)
-Provide Tier 3 support on supported infrastructure technologies.
-Develop documentation for production systems to be supported by tier 1 & 2.
-Work in a multi-cultural/international environment with distributed team members.

Minimum Experience:
3 - 5 years of experience working within a global and regional datacenter environment, implementing solutions that support highly available systems.
1 - 3 years of experience in infrastructure systems analysis and design.
3 - 5 years of experience with Microsoft Server Technologies, including Microsoft Clustering
1 - 3 years of experience managing VMware ESX Server
1 - 3 years of experience documenting infrastructure environments for support by other technical teams.
3 - 5 years of experience serving as a team member on medium and large projects
 
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or Engineering disciplines or equivalent experience and technical training.

Desired Experience:
Experience managing Active Directory in a Windows 2003/2008 environment.
Project management on smaller projects
NetBackup operational support.
Support of infrastructure technologies at remote locations.
