This position is a work-from-home opportunity and is available in south central or midwestern states.
Serve as a key member of the Category Development and Chiquita Customer teams by providing analytical support, business reviews, and business development recommendations to profitably grow Chiquita volume, share, and brand equity with strategic customers. Interpret the customer and category information in a way that will allow Chiquita to identify and understand trends/dynamics, customer/category-specific, cross-category, and total produce department best practices, consumer purchasing dynamics, customer business results and opportunities, etc.
Support a variety of customers and will manage metrics tracking, supplier stats, forecasting, sales reports, and pricing updates. Product support will include regular bananas and packaged salads.
Prepare in-depth analysis of customer-specific data to understand business performance and contribute strategic and tactical insight and recommendations to the customer team, including measurement, quantification and evaluation of the success of various marketing, retail and supply chain initiatives.
In addition, this position will assist in continuous enhancement of an effective and efficient reporting system designed to leverage the Chiquita Category Management and primary and secondary information resources.
Bachelors; Business, Marketing or Statistical concentration preferred.
Minimum 3 years category management, market research, or syndicated data analytics work experience, preferably in the consumer product or grocery industry.
Superior data base management and utilization skills
Exceptional analytical skills with an ability to turn data/information into insight and recommendations.
Solid understanding of grocery retailing.
Desired Experience & Skills:
Produce industry experience desired.
Statistical modeling, marketing, trade marketing or sales experience helpful.
