Job Description
The Marketing Brand Manager will be primarily responsible for managing and leading consumer marketing programs and initiative launches as well as brand-building activities within the Healthy Snacking business segment. The Brand Manager will directly partner with innovations, business mgmt, sales, shopper marketing, and our external agencies to holistically market and build the Chiquita brand across all consumer touch-points and Healthy Snacking products. Additionally, this role will be responsible to ensure profitable growth within the Healthy Snacking segment based on consumer insights, patterns and trends, and will partner with the Director to establish and execute against the strategic direction for Healthy Snacking.
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-In alignment with the overall corporate marketing & branding strategy, leads Healthy Snacking brand differentiation and consumer communications.
-Develops high-impact brand concepts. Will design & execute consumer insight project work based on best practices & ensure research scope fits project scope. Specifies methodology, recommends suppliers, coordinates execution of project and the reporting/presentation of results. Mines research findings for critical business implications/ action items, and ensures integrity and usefullness of data. Also ensures historical research is reviewed and integrated into current findings when appropriate.
-Develops and leads national consumer marketing programs including managing external marketing agencies for Healthy Snacking.
-Leads Healthy Snacking initiative launches.
-Partners with Banana business segment in development of consumer marketing programs. Will work cross functionally to initiate and implement these consumer programs.
-Leads concept development: Develops and coordinates key messages, claims, and visuals to drive brand preference.
-Provides leadership and direction on strategic goals for the Healthy Snacking segment & ensures timely, coordinated execution against those goals with multifunctional team members.
-Manages and partners with cross-functional teams, with the ability to influence across the organization.
-Develops and builds internal competency in consumer driven concept development.
 
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 3 years CPG marketing/agency management experience.
Minimum of 2 years CPG customer marketing or relationship sales experience.
 
Skills:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
-Proven Project Management experience
-Concept development for brand positioning/ brand equity
-Mass market development, such as TV advertising
-Qualitative & Quantitative Consumer Insights experience
-Knowledge of Statistical methodologies including correlation, regression, conjoint, cluster analysis
-Strong Communication Skills ? oral and written
-Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects with attention to detail
-Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal clients and external vendors
-Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadline driven
-Product development / research experience
-Food sensory panel research experience
-Knowledge and use of secondary data (scan data)
 
Education:
BA or BS required
