Job DescriptionThe Mgr Business Development will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing a decision making model for the sourcing group. The Mgr Business Development will directly partner with innovations, business mgmt and sales. Additionally, this role will be responsible to review the current sourcing contracts and provide recommendations that can improve our current model.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
-Develop a comprehensive decision making model for sourcing of new products. This model will include analysis of sources, logistics, allocation, recommends suppliers, recommendation for execution of project.
-Review current sourcing contracts and provide recommendations for improvement.
-Manage and partner with cross-functional teams -- ability to influence across the organization.
-Develops and builds internal competency in consumer and branding driven concept development.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year in developing decision making / sourcing models for new products.
Strong knowledge in analytical models design.
Education:
BA or BS required
Master degree is a plus.
Skills:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
-Perishable experience preferred
-Proven Project Management experience
-Concept development for brand positioning/ brand equity
-Knowledge of Statistical methodologies including correlation, regression, conjoint, cluster analysis
-Strong Communication Skills oral and written
-Ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects with attention to detail
-Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal clients and external vendors
-Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadline driven
-Product development / research experience
-Food sensory panel research experience
-Knowledge and use of secondary data (scan data)
-Intercultural experiences.
