Job DescriptionThis position is responsible for providing technical support of Chiquita Fresh North America (CFNA) products and processes. This will include current products, new products, and test products. This position will audit internal and external process and make recommendations that promote optimal shelf life of products and generate loyal customer satisfaction. This position will also assist with internal auditing of CFNA Distribution Center?s (DC) to ensure compliance with SOPs and auditing of customer facilities to ensure compliance with best practices. Additionally, this position will provide ripening and DC operations support.
Responsibilities:
Support customer training in general and specialized handling of produce and specialty items throughout the supply chain from source to retail use.
Provide produce management support for Chiquita DCs to include fruit ordering, forecasting, inventory control, and processing.
Provide technical support of custom packing projects, alternative fresh product rollouts, and test projects.
Perform customer processing audits and troubleshooting support.
Education: BA or equivalent experience required.
Specific Experience: 1-3 years in food operations, warehousing, inventory control, quality control, or similar work experience. This is an entry level position so wiliness to learn and interest in banana ripening a must.
