Job Description
The Technical Project Manager is a critical team member who is responsible for the initiation, management, and coordination of major data warehouse development projects. This position leads internal efforts by effectively planning and managing projects from start to finish and ensuring key business objectives are satisfied.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Manage and coordinate resources from various departments within the company to successfully complete critical data warehouse projects and initiatives.
  • Use existing knowledge of Agile methodology to manage development projects and spread understanding and acceptance of Agile with other departments.
  • Foster continuous improvement and team cohesiveness by creating a collaborative environment for the project team.
  • Gather business requirements and identify critical success metrics to ensure that projects are completed in a manner which successfully accomplish business objectives.
  • Communicate with project team members and business stakeholders to establish deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor progress of projects.
  • Surface project issues and make proactive recommendations for solutions to the project team and management.
  • Prepare reports for management regarding project status.

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ year's manager-level experience in an IT project management role.
  • 2+ year's experience leading large-scale enterprise technology/product development projects.
  • Data warehouse experience is required (functions, reporting, business intelligence, etc.)
  • Thorough understanding of multi-tier system architectures, web service architectures, web hosting, data processing using Oracle, basic network and security knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience leading projects using iterative development methodologies (Agile/XP, SCRUM).
  • Superior cross-functional team building skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and proven ability to handle extensive documentation on a timely basis.
  • Attention to detail and superior follow-through.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
