Civil / Environmental Engineer (Landfill)SCS Engineers has an immediate career opportunity for a Civil/Environmental Engineer in our Atlanta, GA location. The successful applicant must have a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 5-15 years experience and a PE certification, but would consider an EIT with the right experience. Candidate should have extensive experience in landfill design, permitting and construction oversight. This position would include completing landfill permit-to-install drawings, construction plan and specification preparation, and construction quality assurance monitoring and certification. This position will also be responsible for coordinating work between Project Managers and engineering staff at other locations and be involved in client interaction. Candidate should also have a working knowledge of the OAC regulations. The successful individual will possess the following skills, knowledge, abilities and experience:
? Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or similar engineering
? 5 to 15 years experience in engineering projects
? Solid technical skills in one or more of the following fields: site work, piping, drainage, environmental, grading, construction management
? Relevant design and permitting experience
? Excellent communication skills
? Experience with the solid waste industry
? Willingness and capabilities to mentor and lead junior staff
? Registered Professional Engineer or have the ability to obtain registration within 1 year of hire
? Knowledge of Computer-Aided Design drafting software a plus but not a requirement
? Outstanding knowledge of Microsoft Office
? Positive attitude

? Valid driver's license
