JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for providing finance support to the US Commercial Business. In connection with this support the position would participate in the General Accounting activities within the US SAP General Ledger. This would include financial and management accounting and reporting, including, but not limited to the following:
General Accounting (Responsible within the GL team)
General Ledger, Monthly:
Monthly financial closings
Journal Entry Preparation and review
Species P&L analysis and support as applicable
Intercompany reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliation review and approval
Accruals as applicable to Species results
Monthly accounting charges from Headquarters
Fielding general questions from business and headquarters
US financial upload and reconciliation of SAP into Concert
Cost Center Expense Report analysis- Monthly actual and yearly budget
Participation in the AS and PS preparation and support
Responsible for ensuring financial data/Information is successfully converted from all legacy systems to any new systems as they are developed
Participate the monthly closing process with other members of the US Animal
Health Finance Team, as well as other Finance Units as applicable to ensure all appropriate information is reviewed and compiled in a timely manner.
Establishing and maintaining Internal Accounting Controls
Participate in Finance team initiatives as appropriate
Qualifications
Skills Must have a Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Business, or related education and appropriate work experience. Certified Public Accountant or Masters Degree a plus.
Minimum seven years of diversified technical experience in accounting, with experience in internal controls, and general ledger closing. Must have demonstrated ability to work well with teams and also as an individual contributor. Must have strong systems skills. Specific SAP Experience in FICO is recommended. Experience in Legacy SP systems also a plus. Must have good oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
